Excessive Oil On Oil Filler Cap. Off. Hi All, 2006 A4 Audi 2.0T FSI 2WD. I know this thread has been used many times, but all I can find is ones blaming the PCV. I recently replaced that with a 034 motorsport catch can, draining the oil to the turbo oil pan. I also have recently replaced the valve cover and valve cover gasket. On my '04 4.2 A8L with 145k miles, the oil level light came on after driving; I checked with the dipstick and the oil was right on the top of the crosshatched area - full, where it's been for the past 10,000 miles. then I thought it could be showing low just when the engine is running due to a decreased return to the oilpan, but the low warning came on when I started it this AM. Oil fill Area - Check water drain according to procedure in ElsaPro (Only: R8 Coupe, R8 Spyder) Plenum chamber and water drain valves: Check for dirt, and clean if necessary (Only: A6 [all models], A7 [all models], A8 L [all models], Q7 [all models], and Q8 [all models]) NOTE: Time spent cleaning of item is a separate charge for service timeThe 2 front ones you can see when the roof is open, they are in the corners. If they plug they will cause the waterstains on the a-pillar as described.
Fill up the radiator with distilled water and run the engine. Turn off the engine and drain the water, fill up the radiator with antifreeze until you have a 50/50 coolant / distilled water mixture and burp the system. Like the oil in your Q7, coolant gets dirty over time and loses its ability to cool down your 3.6 liter engine.
I am having a torrid time trying to open the drain plug to throw out extra oil (I overfilled by mistake and engine is smoking). Nothing fits the drain plug- I have T40,45, Ms (12 point), hex ones. It’s terrible. Don’t know why they have to make it so bloody difficult. Audi Q5 2013, 2L turbo.
